The FB 5000 fluidized bed sand filter is a powerful but compact biological sand filter. The water enters the filter from the bottom and keeps the small quartz sand grains fluidized – a huge surface area is created and is optimally supplied with water and nutrients. FB 5000 can work as biological filter for aquarium systems up to 10,000 litres (app. 2,500 gallons).
